Baby

INFANT/TODDLER (Age0-3 )

This Parent & Toddler class is designed not only to expose children to the Japanese language, but also to support caregivers who play a vital role in language development.

Japanese Bilingual Play (at Esquimalt Gorge Pavilion)

  • Wednesdays | 10:00–11:30

This Parent & Toddler class is conducted primarily in Japanese, with English support available. No prior knowledge of Japanese is required. The class offers you and your child a warm and engaging Japanese immersion environment, introducing Japanese language through songs, finger plays, stories, and cultural activities—all while having fun together!

Japanese Preschool Experience Class
(at Craigflower Schoolhouse)

  • 10:00–11:30 | 1st, 3rd, and 4th Saturdays

This class offers families the opportunity to experience our program in an actual preschool classroom at the Schoolhouse. Enjoy a variety of engaging activities, including Japanese songs, stories, cultural experiences, arts and crafts, and neighborhood walks!

Monthly OPEN HOUSE: Free Japanese Play Group
(at Craigflower Schoolhouse)

  • 10:00–11:30 | 2nd Saturdays (October–June only)

Join us for our monthly Open House and enjoy a free Japanese play group while connecting with our teachers and new friends!

Preschool

PRESCHOOL (Age3-5 )

In our Japanese-Only environment, we emphasize Holistic Education, a Developmentally Appropriate Curriculum, Positive Behavioral Guidance, Multicultural Education, while learning through play.

We provide not only a Japanese immersion environment, but also high-quality childcare delivered by experienced early childhood educators. Our preschool activities follow a monthly theme, designed to expose children to different aspects of language and learning. Children enjoy Child-initiated play, story time, picture cards, arts & crafts, singing, dancing, outdoor play, nature walks, 

seasonal cultural events, including Moon Festival, Halloween, Christmas, New Year, Doll Festival, and more!

  • Program Options

Full Day: 8:30AM – 3:00PM
Half Day: 9:00AM– 12:00PM (Half-day acceptance is subject to availability and specific conditions. Please contact us for the details.)

  • Attendance Options: 2–5 days per week

2-days/week: Tuesday and Thursday

3-days/week: Monday, Wednesday and Friday
4-days/week: the 3-days/week + Tuesday or Thursday
5-days/week: Monday through Friday

Exceptions may be available to accommodate special circumstances, depending on availability. Please contact us for more information.

After School

AFTER SCHOOL(K-Age12 )

NIHONGO CLUB, our after-school program, is a place where children of mixed ages can play and learn together in a Japanese-only environment. While maintaining a firm “JAPANESE ONLY” policy, we offer a variety of fun activities that help children learn Japanese language and culture through play.

 

To support continuous learning, we follow a monthly theme throughout the year, gradually deepening the content according to each child’s age and developmental level.

  • Program Hours: 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM, Tuesday to Thursday

  • Schedule Options: 1–3 days per week

  • Class Size: 15 students per class with 2 educators

Summer Camp

SPRING/SUMMER CAMP

During Spring Break and Summer Break, in alignment with School District 61, we offer camp programs for both preschoolers and school-age children.

  • PRESCHOOL CAMP: 9:00 - 15:00 Monday to Friday
    (Half Day 9:00-12:00 option may be available)

  • ACHOOL AGE CAMP: 9:00 - 15:00, Monday to Friday
